Fitting Group hired Joshua Hudson as a senior account executive.

Associations & Organizations

Young Preservationists Association of Pittsburgh announced the election of two new board members, Devon McSorley and Sandee Gertz Umbach. McSorley is a PR and events consultant, currently partnered with Pascale Communications. Ms. Umbach is founder and executive director of the Washington Community Arts and Cultural Center.

Pittsburgh Business Group on Health elected the following individuals to its board. Elected to a two-year term: President: Donna Frisch, H.J. Heinz Co.; secretary: Cheryl Melinchak, Westinghouse Electric Co.; treasurer: Myra Kilgore, Eckert Seamans Cherin & Mellott; membership committee chair: Dave Thomas, Development Dimensions International, Wendy Doolan, Clearview Federal Credit Union, and Donna Steed, Duquesne University. Elected to a three-year term: vice president: Roni McDonough, Kennametal; finance committee chair: Carrie Rust, United States Steel and Carnegie Pension Fund, Susan Spencer, Allegheny Ludlum Corp., Beth Conte, Matthews International, Pam Vass, Ellwood Group Inc., and John Kozar, University of Pittsburgh.

Education

Michael Forlenza, Ph.D., was named assistant dean of Duquesne University's School of Leadership and Professional Advancement.

William W. Ellis was appointed assistant headmaster for enrollment management at The Kiski School.

Engineering

Chester Engineers announced the appointments of Tom L. Johnson and Richard M. McElhaney to the positions of chief financial officer and corporate safety director, respectively.

Pennoni Associates said Jeffrey A. Horneman joined its Pittsburgh civil/site/landscape architecture division as senior surveyor.

Herbert, Rowland & Grubic Inc. named associates of the firm: Mark Garlicki, regional manager of environmental services in State College; Shannon Williams, regional manager of environmental services in Lancaster; Robert Shenk, land development project manager in Lancaster; Chad Hanley, senior environmental project manager in Pittsburgh; Angela Clough, administrator of information and technology services in Harrisburg; and Keith Persing, director of information and technology services in Harrisburg.

Environmental Consulting

Matthew Rowles has joined American Geosciences as an environmental scientist.

Foundations

FISA Foundation (Pittsburgh) elected trustees to its board: Dr. Margaret Mary Kimmel, retired professor and former chair of the department of Library and Information Science at the University of Pittsburgh; Inez K. Miles, vice president and commercial banking relationship manager, Citizens Bank; and Thelma Lovette Morris, recently retired assistant director of human resources, Pittsburgh Board of Education. In addition, the board elected Dr. Jane F. Owens, an epidemiologist at UPMC Health System, as vice president and Mary M. Unkovic, a self-employed computer consultant, as treasurer.

Health & Medicine

WESTARM Physical Therapy hired Ronna Hochbein and Cynthia L. Wernert as OTR/L (licensed occupational therapists). Ms. Hochbein will primarily treat patients with hand/wrist injuries along with neurological deficits at its Leechburg/Kiski Area facility and Ms. Wernert will primarily treat patients with hand/wrist injuries at its Lower Burrell facility.

Dr. Corissa Angiulli has joined Cenk Chiropractic's main office in Fox Chapel as an associate doctor.

Law

Robb Leonard Mulvihill said Gregory B. Proffitt has joined the firm as an associate. Mr. Proffitt will focus on commercial litigation, complex insurance coverage and litigation, and general civil litigation.

Nonprofit

Pittsburgh Filmmakers and Pittsburgh Center for the Arts announced that Susan Howard was named director of the Annie Seamans Electronic Media Arts Lab.

Paul Winkler, president and CEO of Presbyterian SeniorCare, was appointed chair of the board of PANPHA, a Pennsylvania association of nonprofit senior services.

Louis C. Long, partner, Pietragallo Bosick & Gordon and chair of its insurance coverage and appellate practice group, was elected secretary/treasurer of National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum Foundation Inc.

Pittsburgh Coalition for Dynamic Psychotherapy's Clinic without Walls hired Naomi Herman as administrative director.

Good Samaritan Hospice appointed Michelle Hartman director of clinical operations.

Security

Black Knight Security hired James Moran as director of security for the U.S. Steel Tower.

Telecommunications

William Pfoff joined Inter-tel Technologies as a senior account manager.
