Saturday, August 25, 2007

School: Greensburg CC

Position: TE-DE

Height: 6-1

Weight: 195

The skinny: One of the top defensive backs in the WPIAL, Hayden-Martin has been lauded for his ability to break on the ball and his penchant for delivering the huge hit.

College talk: Chose Pitt in June after considering offers from Alabama, Louisville, South Carolina, Syracuse, Boston College and Connecticut.

Favorite food? That would have to be General Tso's chicken. A little sweet, but not too hot, like a number 7 or 8.

Have you ever asked your coach, Muzzy Colosimo, why they call him Muzzy? Actually, no. Muzzy coached my dad at Hempfield and I just always thought his real name was Muzzy. Then I saw William Colosimo on an envelope and realized that was Muzzy's name.

Person you would most like to meet and why? I would really like to meet D'Angelo Hall. He's a lockdown corner and he's someone I model my game after.

What drew you to Pitt? Location was a big factor. I was sold on the coaching staff and especially coach Wannstedt. Pitt just had everything I was looking for.

Jeannette's Terrelle Pryor is lined up at receiver and you are covering him man-to-man. What happens? I would love that opportunity. I know exactly what I'd do, I'd cover him tight, then go up and intercept the ball. That is what would happen.

People might be surprised to know ... That I used to play in the band, I played trombone. I actually still play from time to time and I played through junior high and then started to love football.
