The
skinny: Hale is ranked one of the top linebackers in the
country, but he has been switched to defensive end for this season.
Gateway coach Terry Smith said the move is best for the team and
also said defensive end is the position Hale likely will play in
college. Hale is ranked among the top 25 players in the country by
rivals.com and scout.com.
College
talk: Hale was recruited by colleges across the country, but
has narrowed his list to West Virginia, Michigan, Virginia and Ohio
State. There is a chance Hale and teammate Cameron Saddler
(RB-WR-DB) will attend the same school. Saddler's final four are
West Virginia, Michigan, Virginia and Syracuse.
What do you
think of the position switch? It isn't a big deal. At first, I
wasn't real happy. But once I got the feel and started making plays
in practice, I thought to myself, "This might be my spot." So it's
not a big deal.
Favorite
food? Steak.
What music do
you listen to before games? I just turn on my iPod and let it
run. I listen to everything from rap to R&B, everything.
What do you
usually do after a game? Sometimes we go out to eat at Damon's.
I usually just try to go out a little bit, chill with my friends
and family, then go home and rest up.
People might
be surprised to know ... I don't watch football that much at
home on TV. I try to get out of the house, hang out with my
friends.
