Q: What is the most competitive position at camp this year?

Rob Anderson, Uniontown, Pa.

BOUCHETTE: The offensive line as a whole. Of the five positions, three are said to be up for grabs. I tend to believe that there is competition at only two, however. Kendall Simmons will remain the right guard. Ostensibly, Chris Kemoeatu is competing with him for the job and while you could say there's competition at most positions, there's really little chance that Kemoeatu will bump off Simmons. The veteran came in great shape, had a great spring and might even attract a new contract offer this summer. The purest competition along the line seems to be at center, where Chukky Okobi and Sean Mahan are 1-2. But the Steelers did not give Mahan a big contract in free agency to put him on the bench, so I believe Mahan will be their starting center, barring injuries. I believe the purest competition on the line is taking place at right tackle, where two-year starter Max Starks is furiously trying to hold off young, talented, impressive Willie Colon. Max makes more money but I don't think that will mean anything to coach Mike Tomlin; he'll pick the best man.
