A postal worker from Westmoreland County was indicted yesterday by a federal grand jury in Pittsburgh on charges she stole more than $700 in funds and stamps.

Wendy Watkins, 32, of Crabtree, was charged with embezzling about $707.95 worth of funds and stamp stock by taking money from her cash drawer and removing stamps without paying for them.

The single-count indictment comes with a maximum sentence of one year in prison, a fine of $100,000 or both.
