Tuesday, July 24, 2007

A man was killed yesterday while clearing trees on his property in Bedford County.

State police in Bedford said Mark Mock, 45, of Alum Bank, died when some trees being dragged by a bulldozer on Oldham Road in West St. Clair Township hit him in the head.

Police said Mr. Mock and three others were clearing trees from Mr. Mock's lot and using the bulldozer to knock them down and drag them away.

While the dozer was dragging some trees, police said, they pivoted and struck Mr. Mock, killing him at the scene.

Police said the death was accidental.
