It seems ladies' man Chachi just can't settle down, but he's pushing 50 and is ready for marriage ... or so he thinks. On the series premiere of "Scott Baio is 45 ... and Single," the former "Happy Days" star consults a life coach to find out why he's middle-aged and still single. For eight weeks he must be celibate, keep away from his girlfriend, Renee, and revisit his ex-girlfriends to look for clues to answer his problem.
His first love, Susie, says he had commitment issues. Ho-hum. Then Scott admits he lost his virginity to his TV love, Erin Moran, aka Joanie from "Happy Days." Dr. Ali asks Scott to explore if Joanie really did love Chachi. Erin reminds Scott that when they were teenagers, he told her he wanted to get married, which freaked her out. Oh, and she thought he wasn't very well-endowed, so she wasn't interested. Talk about a low blow! Scott calls Henry Winkler for advice, and the Fonz says something has always been holding him back ... but what? Guess we'll discover this throughout the next few weeks on the show. Hey, at least Chachi attends an autograph signing with Joanie, even though he dreaded it -- it's a step toward normalcy. Two weeks down, six more to go.
"Scott Baio is 45..." airs Sunday at 12:30 and 10:30 p.m. on VH1.

On "Age of Love," 25-year-old Amanda is jealous when the other girls go on dates with Mark. Um, hello -- this is a group dating show! Later she gets her alone time with Mark during their movie date, where she admits she's falling for him. Aww. Jen, 48, has a hot motorcycle date with Mark, complete with serious making out. She kisses and tells, and the others call her fake. Whatever -- I say good for Jen. Maria, 42, tells the women she's going to leave again because of her lack of connection with Mark, but at the elimination ceremony he and his "freakin' dimples" convince her to stay. Crybaby Mary, 24, is out. She amazingly keeps herself together around him, saying it's not her fault he failed to get to know her, but she breaks down in front of the girls. I can't say I will miss her nonstop tears.
"Age of Love" airs Monday at 9 p.m. on NBC.
On "Hell's Kitchen," the Blue men's team wins the leftovers challenge and gets to play paintball with Chef Ramsay, while the girls' Red Team has to clean up the kitchen and sort deliveries. Bonnie fails to check the fish order, and takes the blame when the delivery is wrong. During the dinner service, Julia's strip steaks rule, while Josh's lamb steaks stink. "You can't cook," Chef yells right into his ear. There's no winning team, but short-order Waffle House cook Julia is the best -- not one steak is returned by the diners. She has to put up one of her female teammates, and the guys have to vote in one of their own, too. Bonnie's up for the girls; Brad for the guys. Even though she messed up the fish order and was cooking with the gas off, Chef gives Bonnie another chance, telling her to "wake up." Brad's out. "Tonight I was looking for a leader and all you were was a cook," Chef says. It should have been Josh. Next week, the final five become one team.
"Hell's Kitchen" airs Monday at 9 p.m. on Fox.
On "Shaq's Big Challenge," James is finally learning the evils of fast food. "I don't even know if they know what they do to people. People die from eating that stuff!" says the 182-pound 12-year-old. This week, Shaq and his friend, chef Tyler Florence, try to revamp the school district's lunch program, which they learn isn't a quick or easy fix. Tyler says he's not giving up, though. Meanwhile, all the kids lose 20 pounds each, except for James -- he's holding them up. Once they each lose 20 pounds, they all get to be VIPs at a Miami Heat game with Shaq. James butts heads with their trainer, Tarik, which only makes things worse. Eventually, the former fast food lover catches up with the others and they earn their prize. Twenty pounds is great, but these kids have a long battle ahead.
"Shaq's Big Challenge" airs Tuesday at 9 p.m. on ABC.
On "American Inventor," the judges pick the Tampa, Fla., and Houston finalists. George and Denise Tucker's EZT4U -- a loose tea-brewing contraption that fits on all coffemakers -- is a hit in Tampa. Wacky Denise says she's going all the way with the invention, since their astrologer forsees a win. In Houston, the judges see a heartfelt pitch by deaf 20-year-old Christopher Khanoyan. He wants to invent The Voice Inside -- a machine that allows spoken words to be displayed on a screen for a deaf person to read and respond via keyboard. I was convinced he'd be the Houston finalist, but instead it's Joe and Mike Miller's Wrapaway that advances. Seriously -- how can the judges pick an under-the-counter plastic wrap dispenser over a device that could help deaf people everywhere?! That's crazy.
"American Inventor" airs Wednesday at 9 p.m. on ABC.
On "On the Lot," Hilary and Shalini are eliminated after getting the least amount of votes for their "when two worlds collide" movies. This is unfortunate, as they were the final two women in the competition. Now, eight guys remain, and five debut short action films. I think Jason's is the best. His "Sweet" movie about a man who forgets his anniversary and quickly tries to make up for it is action-packed, but not ridiculously violent like Sam's "Key Witness." I think Andrew's "Zero2Sixty" car chase flick comes off as one extended Ford Edge commercial, although Kenny's family skateboard-theme movie, "The Losers," is a little cheesy. Mateen's bike chase/robbery film, "Chase," is lacking. I think he and Sam will be out.
"On the Lot" airs Tuesday at 8 p.m. on Fox.
On "Gene Simmons Family Jewels," since Gene is off scoping out a bar in Vegas (which winds up being a total flop), Sophie asks Gene's business partner, Rich, to participate in the father/daughter volleyball tournament. When softie Gene finds out, the guilt gets to him, and shows up at the beach tournament with cheerleaders in tow. Too bad he never practiced -- Gene's not a master at volleyball and Sophie's team loses. "It's OK. I'm glad you came. We didn't win, but I was very embarrassed," she admits.
"Family Jewels" airs Sunday at 10 p.m. on A&E.
On last week's "So You Think You Can Dance," the bottom three couples are Anya and Danny, Cedric and Shauna, and Jamie and Hok. As for the girls, judge Nigel Lythgoe says their decision is unanimous, but not easy -- Shauna's out because she hasn't shown as much growth and personality as the others. Cedric is out for the guys, and the judges say this is only the beginning of his dancing career.
"Dance" airs Wednesday at 8 p.m. and Thursday at 9 p.m. on Fox.
