Special needs adults sought for show
Thursday, July 05, 2007

Renowned Christian composer Marty Haugen and The Celebration of Life are seeking special needs adults, age 18 and older, interested in being singers, dancers or actors in a fall musical, "Agape: The Stories and the Feast!" Cast and crew members will feature adults with developmental disabilities of varied skills levels, with their assigned buddies; helpers such as ticket-takers are needed, too.

Interested performers/helpers and their family members or caregivers can find out more at a free information session at 7 p.m. July 16 at Duquesne University; specific location will be provided upon registration. Performances will be at 8 p.m. Sept. 8 at Duquesne University and at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 9 at St. Louise de Marillac in Upper St. Clair. Proceeds from tickets, $25 each, will benefit The Celebration of Life, a nonprofit organization that serves adults with developmental disabilities (www.thecelebrationoflife.net). Call Briana at 412-401-1753.
