Glass celebration continues

Follow this space weekly for listings of new exhibitions and activities of the yearlong Pittsburgh celebration of all things glass.

Through Saturday -- "Glass at the Clay Place Gallery," 18 regional glass artists, 1 Walnut St., Carnegie (412-276-3260; www.clayplace.com).

Through Sunday -- the Pittsburgh Festival of Lights! -- Lucette de Rugy's illumination of four Downtown buildings -- was to have ended July 1 but has been extended. Nightly from approximately 9:30 p.m. to 1 a.m.

Friday -- 6-9 p.m., Hot Jam, hot glass demonstration and open house, Pittsburgh Glass Center (free, 412-365-2145).

Saturday -- 10 a.m., weekly glassblowing demonstration and tour, Pittsburgh Glass Center ($10, $5 children; 412-365-2145).

Saturday and Sunday -- 10 a.m.-5 p.m., "Art and Sport of Marbles" (which are made of glass), a look at Pittsburgh's impressive marble history, a chance to play marbles, marble collections. Senator John Heinz Pittsburgh Regional History Center, Strip District (free with museum admission; 412-454-6000).
