NORTH
Butler -- Bingo, bands, food, children's activities, games, contests and more at the Butler Freedom Celebration, beginning at 1 p.m. in Butler Memorial Park, Memorial Drive. Fireworks at dusk.
Cranberry -- Cranberry Township Community Park, Ernie Mashuda Drive, off Route 19, is the site of Community Day festivities, including contests, free entertainment, food kiosks, information booths, bingo, concerts and more.
Registration for the Race for Virginia and Friends 5K Run/Walk begins at 6:45 a.m. at the Jaycees shelter. Race begins at 7:30 a.m.
Lions Club holds an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast from 8 to noon at the Lions shelter. Cost is $7 for all-you-can-eat, $5 for those 10 and older for a single serving, and $3 for 9 and younger.

Hampton -- Celebration at Hampton Community Park, 3101 McCully Road, tomorrow and Wednesday. Activities include contests, free swimming, oldies concerts, hayrides and more, with free tethered hot-air balloon rides from 5 to 8 p.m.

Harrisville -- Harrisville Community Days begins at 2 p.m. with food, vendors and fireworks at Harrisville Community Park, Route 8. Call 724-735-2191.
Leetsdale -- Parade begins at 2 p.m. on Beaver Street, starting at Village Drive and proceeding down Beaver Street to Broad Street, then down Broad to Henle Park. Community Day activities, including children's activities, bingo and more, begin immediately after the parade in Henle Park. Fireworks at 9:30 p.m.
Mars -- Fourth of July Celebration Parade begins at 6 p.m. on Beaver Street. Open swim at Mars pool; Community Day picnic at Mars Center Park, where the borough is providing food, drinks, games and entertainment. Fireworks at 10 p.m.
Prospect -- Big Butler Fair runs through Saturday at the Butler Fairgrounds, Route 422. Fireworks at dusk Wednesday; rain date is Thursday. Visit www.bigbutlerfair.com.
Zelienople -- Parade begins at 11 a.m. at Grandview Avenue, south on Main Street, then east on Beaver Street with the conclusion at Zelienople Community Park on East Beaver.
Community Day activities last from 12:15 to 6 p.m., and include old-fashioned races, children's activities, food, games, performances by The Resurrection Marching Band and more.
North Pittsburgh Philharmonic Orchestra performs at 8:15 p.m. Bring blankets or chairs.

WEST
Beaver Falls -- Geneva College is donating funds for a Zambelli fireworks show at 9:30 p.m. tomorrow in the athletic complex behind the Beaver Falls Middle School. The site has moved from Reeves Field because of Route 18 construction.
Carnegie -- The borough celebrates the nation's birthday tomorrow at Carnegie Park, with live music, vendors, food, baseball games, bingo, battle of the barrel and other attractions, including a moon walk. Fireworks begin at dusk.
McDonald -- Homemade food, carnival rides and games, nightly music and a fireworks show at 10 p.m. Wednesday highlight the 15th McSummerfest celebration. The festival began Saturday in Heritage Park and will continue through Saturday. The McDonald Community Choir sings on Wednesday prior to the fireworks.
Moon -- Children's activities begin and food booths open at 4 p.m. Wednesday while entertainment starts at 7 at the amphitheater in Moon Park, Ewing Road. John McDonald and the Mango Men perform at 8, and fireworks begin at 10.
Robinson -- A free fireworks display begins at dusk Wednesday at Burkett Park, Steubenville Pike.
Scott -- Activities kick off Wednesday in Scott Park with girls' and boys' softball and baseball games beginning at 9 a.m. and continuing through 6 p.m. There are various land and water races, a water slide contest, food, games and a money hunt for children in grades four and under.
The pool, which opens at 11 a.m., closes at 6 and reopens at 7 to provide a great spot for viewing the fireworks that are to start at 9:31 p.m. Balls and rafts will be permitted in the pool. Admission for the night swim is $1, which will go toward the fireworks cost.
The Scott Conservancy sponsors its annual Rubber Ducky Race on Chartiers Creek. Tickets, which cost $2, are available by calling 412-276-5820 or can be purchased at the park on Wednesday.
SOUTH
Bethel Park, Upper St. Clair -- Fireworks at 9:40 p.m. at South Hills Village.
Brentwood -- 5-kilometer race and parade at 10 a.m. along Brownsville Road; fireworks at dusk, Brentwood Park.
Dormont -- Fireworks at dusk, Dormont Park.
McKeesport -- Concerts begin at noon, Renziehausen Park, with a fireworks show at dusk.
Mt. Lebanon -- At the community park, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. All Star Sporting Events; noon to 5 p.m., carnival games, food booths and more; 7 p.m. Sputzy and the Soul Providers concert; 9:30 p.m. Zambelli Internationale fireworks; rain date, for fireworks only, is Thursday.
EAST
Forest Hills -- Community Day celebration with events in the main park including biathlon at pool at 8 a.m.; 10 a.m. flag raising ceremony; 10:15 a.m. races and games (ages 4-10 and 11-15); 11 a.m. petting zoo and pony rides; noon, antique car parade; 4:30 p.m. rock band concert; and much more. Monroeville -- The theme for this year's 4th of July Parade is "God Bless America." The parade starts at 9 a.m. at Miracle Mile Shopping Center and proceeds west on William Penn Highway to Mall Boulevard and into the Monroeville Mall parking area to the grandstand located near the side entrance of Macy's. Fireworks begin at 9:30 p.m. at Monroeville Mall.
