Library light-rail route service fully restored
Sunday, June 24, 2007

The West Liberty and Library stops, the final two on the Port Authority's Library light-rail transit line, were reopened yesterday morning after a water-main break on Saturday shut them down. The water rushed over the tracks, eroding their base.

The two stops were back in service at 10:25 a.m., said Port Authority spokesman Bob Grove.

A 12-inch water main of the Pennsylvania American Water Co. broke at Clifton and Library roads in Bethel Park around 6 a.m. Saturday, affecting about 200 customers. Water service was restored by about 11 p.m. Saturday.
