Robert Morris faculty approves new contract
Wednesday, May 30, 2007

Robert Morris University faculty members have reached a four-year contract with the university, effective immediately.

Seth Finn, president of the union, said the faculty voted in favor of the contract yesterday.

He said it calls for average annual increases ranging from 3.25 percent to 4 percent.

"Although the faculty would have liked to have seen higher wage increases, they're very satisfied with changes in procedures for promotion, merit and receiving course reductions for research and creative activities," he said.

He said the 130 faculty members are represented by the American Federation of Teachers.
