This annual Education Day at Kennywood for Carrick was held on May 4, 2007. Students from Physics and other science classes left school early in the morning only to arrive at Kennywood Park a short time after. Students had the whole day to complete appropriate problems having to do with the topic of their class. Once finished, their hard work paid off and the rest of the day they spent their time enjoying the atmosphere of everyone’s favorite amusement park.
Some of the highlights of the day were, of course, riding the adrenaline seeking roller coasters, eating the Potato Patch fries, and taking a spin on Kennywood’s newest attraction, the Cosmic Chaos. The ride seats 24 people on a giant disk upon motorcycle-like pedestal seats with back restraints. Arms and legs are free from restraint as the passenger looks outward.
All students who attended this entertaining field trip seemed to enjoy themselves. If you are planning on attending Kennywood this year, the doors opened for the official start of the season Wednesday, May, 16.
