THE SKINNY: Carrick defeated Brashear twice this season by scores of 5-4 and 5-2. Both times, Brashear pitched Tardio. "He's a left-hander and I'm a left-hander, so I've been a little overworked the past few days throwing batting practice," said Aromatorio. ... Thurner, Bon and Cashman are all batting above .500.
