Three new partners -- Charles A. Deluzio, Jeffrey P. Anzovino and Joseph E. Petrillo -- have joined the Greensburg and Jeannette offices of Malin, Bergquist and Co. The three will practice with DTA, a division of Malin Bergquist, with Deluzio named managing partner of the firm's Greensburg and Jeannette offices. DTA merged with Malin Bergquist in February.

Gary L. Van Balen has joined Sci-Tek Environmental Services Co. as engineering manager.
The Sextant Group hired Scott Cameron Frey, systems engineer, and Aaron Barber, project assistant. Both are based in the firm's Pittsburgh office.

The Carnegie Mellon Software Engineering Institute (SEI) said John R. Bramer joined as the director of the SEI's Program Integration Directorate, the business development function of the SEI.

Duane Morris said John Tedder, formerly of Reed Smith, joined as a partner in the trial practice group in Pittsburgh. He practices in the areas of construction and commercial litigation.
A group of four attorneys that specializes in insurance coverage matters has joined Sherrard, German & Kelly. They are Stanley J. Lehman and Karen Y. Bonvalot, who came to the firm as shareholders and directors, and Erin E. Milliken and Samuel J. Toney IV, who are associates. All four previously were with Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney.
Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney announced the elections of an executive shareholder, two new members of the firm's advisory committee, and five new board members. Jack Barbour was elected for a three-year term.
Two new members of the firm's advisory/compensation Committee were also elected to three-year terms. They are Robert Harper in Pittsburgh and Ellen Shapiro in New York. Current advisory committee members Bill Davis in Miami and Wendy Newton in Pittsburgh were elected to serve as committee co-chairs.
