Gene Klein
A graduate of Chartiers Valley High School and Pitt, he had a 433-108-33 record and won six PIAA titles in 24 years as the soccer coach at Quaker Valley before retiring in 2006.

A street-tough kid from Allegheny High School, he won numerous boxing trophies in the Army and had a 43-7 record with 23 knockouts as a pro fighter under the guidance of Angelo Dundee.
Richie McCabe
A star running back at North Catholic High School when Dan Rooney was the quarterback, he played at Pitt, then spent seven years in the NFL before a knee injury ended his career in 1961. He was in his fifth season as defensive backfield coach with the Denver Broncos when he died of cancer in 1983.
Jim Mutscheller
An all-around athlete at Beaver Falls High School and a tight end at Notre Dame, he caught 220 passes for 3,685 yards and 40 touchdowns from 1954-61 for the Baltimore Colts, whose quarterback was John Unitas.
George Perles
Defensive coordinator and assistant head coach under Chuck Noll when the Steelers won four Super Bowls and was head coach at Michigan State from 1983-94.
John Withrow
Three-time All-American wrestler at Pitt in the mid-1990s with a 122-42 record (second-most wins in school history), he also set a school record with 120 victories at Elizabeth Forward.
