MEGAN DUNCAN
SCHOOL: Norwin.
WHO IS SHE? One of the top track athletes in the WPIAL.
THE PAST WEEK: A senior, Duncan was the girls' track MVP at the 83rd Westmoreland County Championships Saturday at Latrobe. She was a four-time gold medalist, winning the 100- and 300-meter hurdles and the 200 and 400 dashes to help the Knights secure the team title.
SEASON: Duncan ranks in the top 15 in five individual events in WPIAL Class AAA. She is third in the 300 hurdles (45.61 seconds) and 400 dash (58.64), tied for fifth in the 100 hurdles (15.3), sixth in the 200 dash (26.0), and tied for 12th in the 100 dash (12.6). Duncan also anchors a 1,600 relay team that has a WPIAL-best of 4:04.3.
"I've had a good year, but I don't know if it's my best year," Duncan said. "Last year, my times were lower. This year, I'm taking both hurdles more seriously."
CAREER: This is Duncan's fourth varsity season. She qualified for the WPIAL championships in multiple events the past three years, including the 1,600 relay each time. Last spring, she won the 400 in a meet-record 55.90 and helped the 1,600 relay team defend its title. Duncan helped the Knights win the team championship last year and finish second in 2005. She likely will compete in the maximum four events at the WPIAL meet May 17.
FUTURE: Duncan, a North Huntingdon resident, ranks 11th academically in a class of 412 and will attend Penn State on a partial track scholarship.

WILL DONLEY
SCHOOL: Central Catholic.
WHO IS HE? A senior lacrosse player who has helped turn Central Catholic into one of the best teams in the area.
THE PAST WEEK: Donley had three goals and two assists in an 8-7 triple-overtime victory against North Allegheny Monday. He scored with three seconds left to send the game into overtime. He had three goals and two assists again Friday in a 10-2 win against Bethel Park.
SEASON: Donley is Central Catholic's top scorer with 28 goals and 22 assists. He has helped the Vikings to a 10-2 record.
"Obviously, I'm a little biased, but I think he's as good as any player in this area," said Central Catholic coach Dave Deal. "He does it all for us. He plays attacker, but I move him all over the field. He even takes some faceoffs, which is traditionally a midfielder's job."
SUPER SIZE: Donley is 5 feet 11, 205 pounds, which is nice size for a high school lacrosse player. "He definitely uses his size to his advantage," Deal said. "For his size, he runs pretty well, too. For other teams, it's hard to get him turned. Once he starts moving toward the cage, it's pretty hard to slow him down."
NO FOOTBALL: Donley played football at Central Catholic through his junior year, but did not play as a senior. "I think he realized lacrosse is really what he wanted to play," Deal said.
THE FUTURE: Donley will play next season at Penn State.
