The Winchester Thurston School has a reputation for staging quality high school musicals. Recently the school presented the Pittsburgh high school premier of "Urinetown," a show known for puncturing greedy corporations, impractical idealists and musical comedy itself.

The performance lived up to expectation, featuring an alert and capable cast able to entertain with smart parody and caricature. The show featured several outstanding performances and the theater version of a strong bench -- strong support from students who in many schools might have been playing leads.
