Chris Sparacino, of Penn Hills, a junior at St. Joseph High School, was awarded a bronze medal in the medicine/health/microbiology category at the Pittsburgh Regional Science and Engineering Fair.

Olivia Colangelo, of Murrysville, was the Pennsylvania winner of the American Automobile Association geography Travel Challenge. She will travel to Orlando, Fla., in May to participate in the national competition. The top prize is a $20,000 college scholarship.
