This week, post-gazette.com has presented a multimedia series called "BUSTED: A journey into the criminal justice system." The video, slideshows and stories show online readers what it's like to get arrested, go to jail, face charges, and finally, get your day in court.
What was your reaction to the sights and sounds of being busted? Please send your comments, for possible posting on a Readers Forum page, to postscript@post-gazette.com. Be sure to include your full name and hometown.
Dear Sirs:
This is a fabulous series. It is short, to the point and informative. The series would be very useful in my Government class. We study the Criminal Justice System. Being able to use Pittsburgh to illustrate for the students what defendants have to go through is great. Thanks for a great look at the Criminal Justice System.

I have been following everyday ... I found documentary informative, but it lacks emotion. I think you should elaborate on this story into an hour documentary. I would love to see it.

For the twenty years that I have practiced law, I have wondered exactly what the process was from arrest to trial so that I could better serve my criminal defense clientele. Having already toured the new jail before it opened and having visited many a client in the respective Criminal and Family (Child Support Contempt) Bullpens, I had some knowledge of the inner workings of this part of our Justice System. Short of committing a crime so that I could obtain first-hand experience on the subject, this series of vignettes was as helpful as anything I could imagine being done to better inform lawyers and (potential) arrestees of the actual behind-the-scenes mechanism of the world of criminal defense law and its various parts and players.

I thought the jail experience was very interesting maybe this should be taken to ALL schools and shown because if it can keep 1 person from going this route it is certainly worth it.....GREAT JOB
