The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins completed their regular season with a 4-1 loss to the visiting Syracuse Crunch in the AHL. Marc-Antoine Pouliot gave the Penguins an early lead 3:57 into the first period before Syracuse scored three goals in the second.

The Penguins, who finished second in the East Division, play host to the Norfolk Admirals in Games 1 and 2 of a best-of-seven division semifinal series Friday and Saturday in the first round of the Calder Cup playoffs.

Geoff Platt added an empty-net goal for the Crunch.
