President Bush will be the 2007 commencement speaker at St. Vincent College, school officials said this morning after receiving word from the White House. The college invited President Bush in January to speak at the commencement, which will be May 11.

St. Vincent Archabbot Douglas R. Nowicki, President James Towey, and Board Chairman J. Christopher Donahue were holding a news conference today to announce the details.

Mr. Towey, who was installed as president July 1, had previously served as assistant to President Bush and director of the Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives at the White House.

This will be President Bush's second commencement address at a Catholic college and the first in Pennsylvania.
