The PG recently convened a cadre of baking and pastry experts-in-training to taste test cupcakes from around the greater Pittsburgh area.

The judges were five students in the Pennsylvania Culinary Institute's Le Cordon Bleu Program. They evaluated the tiny, tasty morsels on four criteria: overall appearance, flavor of cupcake, flavor of icing and texture.

After sampling two cupcakes from 13 different bakeries the judges selected a truly scrumptious winner.
