The Steelers basketball team will play a celebrity all-star squad in a game at 7 p.m. March 23 before the Xplosion take on the Minot SkyRockets in a CBA game at Mellon Arena.

The Phoenix Mercury of the WNBA re-signed forward Penny Taylor, holding on to a critical part of the lineup coach Paul Westhead expects to use this season. Taylor, the MVP of the world championships, averaged a career-high 13.9 points and 5.7 rebounds in 20 games last season.
