Swimming: Upper St. Clair girl gets 2nd diving title

For the second consecutive season, Upper St. Clair junior Amanda Lohman won the WPIAL Class AAA girls' 1-meter diving championship yesterday at Pine-Richland. Lohman scored 499.75 and edged Franklin Regional freshman Samantha Pickens (489.05) and Seneca Valley junior Diana Rocco (396.95).

On the boys' side, Franklin Regional sophomore Ryan Koter, who finished second last year, took this year's top prize with a score of 449.70. Latrobe senior Charlie Hauser finished second (428.15) and Butler senior John Rhodaberger was third (391.95).

The top six finishers in the boys' and girls' competition qualified for the PIAA Class AAA diving championships March 16-17 at Bucknell University in Lewisburg.
