Tristan Blackwood scored a career-high 40 points as Central Connecticut State rallied to beat Robert Morris, 88-86, last night at in New Britian, Conn.
The Blue Devils (18-11, 15-2 Northeast Conference) trailed by six with 4:58 to go, then began to chip away. By the time Blackwood made two free throws with 2:13 left, Central Connecticut State was on top, 78-77.
Javier Mojica connected on a key 3-pointer for Central Connecticut State with 37.7 left for an 86-84 lead the Blue Devils held for the win.
Robert Morris (16-9, 8-8) shot 61 percent (19 for 31) from the floor in the first half and led 44-38 at the half. Jeremy Chappell led the Colonials with 31 points.
