Nora Barry Fischer, partner, Pietragallo Bosick & Gordon, and group leader of its litigation defense practice, was named the recipient of the "2006 Professionalism Award"' by the civil litigation section of the Allegheny County Bar Association.

National Survey & Engineering, a division of R.A. Smith & Associates, was named with its parent as one of the nation's top winners in CE News magazine's "Best Civil Engineering Firms to Work For" competition for 2006. The company ranked No. 10 among medium-size companies (101 to 499 employees) nationwide and No. 24 overall out of the 50 companies selected for recognition. A total of 157 engineering companies competed nationwide.

The Better Business Bureau announced winners of the 2006 Torch Award for Marketplace Ethics. They are: Eagle Mortgage Associates Inc., Pittsburgh ; Bianchi Honda, Erie; and AIReS, Pittsburgh, PA.

Parente Randolph said Will Patterson, a senior accountant in the Pittsburgh office, has successfully completed the CPA examination and earned a license to practice as a certified public accountant in Pennsylvania.

Laurie Butler, associate/interior designer and Jennifer Bubnash, intern architect, of Perkins Eastman's Pittsburgh office, received its LEED-AP Accreditation. LEED, or Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design, is the nationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction, and operation of high performance green buildings and this accreditation certifies that these individuals are competent and knowledgeable in the area of sustainable design.

Tom Domke, franchisee for Right at Home of Greater Pittsburgh, received the "Top Sales" award at the Right at Home national convention. He received the award based on revenue along with recognition of providing outstanding in-home supportive care and personal assistance to his local clients. Right at Home is a franchise organization offering in-home supportive care and personal assistance to seniors and disabled adults who want to continue to live independently.

Pittsburgh business owner Mike Broniszewski is one of 10 store owners selected to represent more than 4,200 True Value retailers across the country as a member of the True Value President's Growth Council, which provides input into the planning of True Value store initiatives.

Professional Graphic Communications Inc. was named the 2005-2006 Business of the Year in Beaver County. The award was presented by the Beaver County Chamber of Commerce.

Sharee Rogers, help desk analyst for ProLogic, Inc., was named the 2006-07 Help Desk Institute Analyst of the Year by the Pittsburgh Chapter of the Help Desk Institute.

The National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors Pittsburgh chapter announced that Ray Phillips is the 2006 recipient of the Edward F. Haldeman, CLU Memorial Award. The award is presented to an individual who has sustained a distinguished leadership career in the insurance industry and has contributed greatly to the community. Mr. Phillips is the president of The Brokers Source Ltd. and the current president of the Society of Underwriting Brokers.

Blattner Brunner's interactive group, bbdigital was honored nine times in the Web Marketing Association's (WMA) 2006 International WebAward Competition. The WMA awarded bbdigital for Web campaigns for GlaxoSmithKline Pharma, GlaxoSmithKline Consumer, Del Monte, EDMC/Art Institutes, Pittsburgh First and Corus Home Realty, as well as an award for the agency's own parent brand Web site, www.BlattnerBrunner.com. bbdigital received "Consumer Goods Standard of Excellence" awards for Abreva (www.HotTipsfromTina.com and www.HealitwithAbreva.com), Scooby Snacks (www.rogsruvem.com) and Beano (www.beanogas.com).

Chad D. Tomosovich and John W. Zatkos, Jr., both associates at Rothman Gordon, have been named Pennsylvania Super Lawyers Rising Stars by Law & Politics. Mr. Tomosovich was selected for Business/Corporate and Mr. Zatkos was selected for Workers' Compensation.
