New model year fireworks at Subaru are coming from the high-performance end of the family, with new and improved versions of the Legacy 2.5 GT spec. B with a new SI Drive high-performance system and the Impreza WRX STI Limited.
The Legacy 2.5 GT spec. B began life as a limited production model, but in 2007, it becomes a part of the regular lineup. The car's SI-Drive allows the driver to select the level of engine performance from three modes -- Intelligent, Sport and Sport Sharp -- on a rotary dial on the center console. That controls the electronic throttle system, fuel and ignition to modify engine torque characteristics.
