District College Basketball Roundup: RMU loses, 76-68, behind 20 turnovers

Dejan Delic scored 25 points -- including seven 3-pointers -- to lead Monmouth to a 76-68 win against Robert Morris last night in West Long Branch, N.J.

Whitney Coleman added 15 points, 5 assists and 6 rebounds for the Hawks (9-12, 4-5 in Northeast Conference). Tony Lee led the Colonials (13-6, 5-5) with 21 points and seven rebounds, while Jeremy Chappell scored 16 points and A.J. Jackson pulled down a game-high 11 rebounds.

The Colonials, though, only hit 42 percent of their shots and committed 20 turnovers.

Robert Morris seemed to be in command early and held an 11-point lead late in the first half, but Monmouth closed with a 13-2 run and the game was tied, 36-36, at the break.

Jon Koch made a 17-foot shot with 0.7 seconds left to give Washington & Jefferson (7-12, 4-3 PAC) an 89-87 victory against visiting Westminster (12-7, 5-2). Women's highlights

Chatham (7-11) knocked off visiting College of Notre Dame (10-5) from Maryland, 64-54, and moved into first place in the Atlantic Women's Colleges Conference. Chatham, which was led by Erica Bilski's 16 points, is 5-1 in the conference, Notre Dame is 4-1. ... Elena Radenkovick scored 20 points and went over 1,500 points for her career as Seton Hill (9-8) won at Carlow (4-15), 88-53. Autumn Himes also had 20 points for Seton Hill. ... Westminster (14-4, 6-1 PAC) outscored W&J by 16 points in the second half en route to a 55-48 road win. Desiree Sterling had 17 points, 10 rebounds for Westminster. ... Ruth Dobos had 13 rebounds, 11 points and 6 blocks in leading Geneva (15-3, 8-1 AMC North) to a 67-55 win against visiting Ursuline (11-11, 3-6). ...
