The National Weather Service in Pittsburgh has issued a flood advisory for the Mon Wharf.
The Weather Service is forecasting 1 to 3 inches of additional rainfall in the next 48 hours.
The Mon River is forecast to rise to 18 feet at the Point by 8 this morning and is expected to crest at 23.1 feet by 1 p.m. tomorrow, according to the Weather Service.
Water begins to enter the Mon Wharf when the Mon River hits 18 feet. Flood stage is 25 feet.
"We are concerned about the rainfall over the next two days," said Rich Redmond, Weather Service meteorologist. The region has already seen "a good bit of rain in the last couple of days."
The Mon is not expected to fall below 18 feet until Wednesday afternoon.
