Montour graduate Daren Tielsch and Ambridge Area grad Kelly Calderone were voted Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Western Division players of the week.
Tielsch, a 6-foot-8 senior forward at Edinboro University, hit on 13 of 20 field goal attempts and nailed all four of his free-throw attempts in Edinboro's 84-67 win over Alderson-Broaddus.
In addition to his 30 points, Tielsch also recorded two assists, two steals and 11 rebounds, which earned him his seventh double-double of the season.
Calderone, a 5-7 senior guard at Edinboro, was named to the Edinboro Classic all-tournament team after scoring 53 points in losses to Glenville State and West Liberty State.
She made 20 of 36 field goals while hitting three of seven from behind the arc and 10 of 12 from the foul line. She also added 12 rebounds, eight assists, six steals and a block.
Calderone matched her career-high with 32 points against West Liberty and now has 1,166 points in three seasons at Edinboro.

Beaver Area High School graduate Ryan Morgan, a forward for the Edinboro University hockey team, has been chosen to play in the eighth annual College Hockey East all-star game Jan. 13 at the Center Ice Arena in Delmont.
A 3 p.m. skills competition involving players from both squads will take place prior to the 4:30 p.m. game.
Upper St. Clair grad is MVP
Upper St. Clair graduate Ryne Murray was named Eastern College Athletic Conference Division III South co-player of the week.
Murray, a freshman forward at Westminster College, was most valuable player of the Marietta Shrine tournament held Dec. 29-30.
He averaged 20 points and 10.5 rebounds to lead the Titans to the tournament championship with wins over Olivet (80-67) and host Marietta (98-73).
A 6-foot-4 transfer from Saint Francis (Pa.), Murray registered career highs in each of the Titans' past four games with 14, 15, 17 and 23 points.
Westminster (7-5, 1-0 PAC) has now won six of its last seven games, including a 3-1 mark during Murray's four consecutive career-high scoring games.
