"Could it be? Yes, it could."
"Something's coming, something good."
Thank you, Mr. Bernstein and Mr. Sondheim, for giving us "Something's Coming" from "West Side Story."
Let's not just expect something good in 2007. Let's make something good happen. We're game. Are you?
While you ponder how to bring your A-game to making the world a better place this year, we'll let you know if the famous folks are stepping their game up in this edition of the GBB.

Oooh, child. Things ain't getting any easier on the set of "The View."
Seems Rosie O'Donnell and her boss, Barbara Walters, got into a nasty, nasty spat in the makeup room Monday morning because Miss O'Donnell didn't think Ms. Walters was backing her up enough in her verbal brawl with Donald Trump, according to Page Six.
You know Ro and Don have been word-jousting for weeks, ever since the talk-show host took the pageant owner to task for not firing hard-partying Miss USA Tara Conner.
Well, it was on like popcorn after that.
Donald said on "Larry King Live" that Barbara actually didn't like Rosie and wanted to fire her. And he said a lot of other bad stuff, too.
Rosie reportedly told Babs in the makeup room Monday that she should have verbally smacked Donald upside the head and put to rest any talk that she wanted Rosie gone.
Babs said she did her best to squash all the talk. But Rosie countered by calling her boss "a [blank] liar."
Bill Geddie, producer for "The View," had to calm things down. He told Rosie, "You've crossed the line," according to Page Six.
Cindi Berger, the rep for Ro and Bar, said whatever happens in the makeup room, stays in the makeup room.
But wait, it gets better.
The Donald wrote Rosie a letter of support yesterday in calling Barb a liar, according to Extra. "Actually, I don't blame you, but in fact she lied to both of us!" Donald writes.
He said Barbara called him two weeks ago to apologize for Rosie's behavior and quoted Ms. Walters as saying that "working with [Rosie] is like living in hell."
The letter also states that Barb said some other not-so-nice things about Rosie to the Donald.
He ends by saying that Rosie has every right to be angry and sends his regards to the talk show host's wife, Kelly.

The lawyer for R&B crooner/rapper Tyrese Gibson said people have got it all twisted when it comes to his client and stories that he hit his pregnant girlfriend.
You know the LAPD has been looking for Ty since he left his home following an argument with his lady last week. But his attorney told TMZ what went down.
Ty and said woman, who is 11 weeks pregnant, had an argument. She got very upset and called 911 to get somebody to mediate.
Ty left. She started throwing up. Paramedics came, took her to the hospital. A nurse asked her if she'd been assaulted. She said no, told them she wasn't in any pain, then discharged herself.
"Mr. Gibson and his girlfriend are very much still in love, together and excited about their expectant child. She is quite saddened that this event was so distorted," the lawyer stated.
Everybody straight on that now?

Angelina Jolie, who led the way in this new wave of FAMS (Famous Adoptive Moms), said she wasn't trying to be critical of that other FAM, Madonna, in a recent French magazine interview.
As you all know, Ms. M took a lot of flak from folks over her pending adoption of Malawian child David Banda.
In Gala magazine, Angie baby was quoted as saying that "Madonna knew the situation in Malawi, where [David] was born. It's a country where there is no real legal framework for adoption. Personally, I prefer to stay on the right side of the law. I would never take a child away from a place where adoption is illegal."
But Miss Jolie says that the article has a lot of falsehoods.
"I said a lot of positive things that were omitted," she said. "I feel we must focus on the present, and I encourage everyone to be supportive so that every child can adjust nicely to their new home."

Let's move on to the next A-lister trying to clear things up, anger management poster boy Russell Crowe.
Seems Mr. Crowe was accused by a flight attendant of displaying his famed temper on a flight during a promotional tour for his film "A Good Year."
The flight attendant said Russ got his underwear in a bunch when he didn't get the chicken satay meal he asked for. Apparently, the last such chicken went to Mrs. Crowe, Danielle Spencer.
But you know, she's not the star. He is. And according to the attendant, he let her know it.
"If I tell you I want something, you put it aside for me or wake me up. Is there some kind of language barrier here?" the flight attendant quoted him as saying.
Anyway, Russ' lawyer issued a statement saying it ain't true and that his client was practically a Boy Scout during the tour.

Just so you all know, it was Sharon Whitall of the Detroit News who broke the story on Flo Ballard's sister, Maxine, writing a book about her.
Eurweb.com picked up Ms. Whitall's story.
You know we want to keep the record straight.
