Paul King, director of environmental health and safety at Duquesne University, was re-elected board chair of the Pennsylvania Environmental Council for 2007.

The Canonsburg General Hospital board appointed Prabha Bansal, Daniel H. Benckart, Bart A. Chess, Dean A. Healy, Amjad Jalil, Robert J. Keenan, Satish C. Muluk, Richard H. Maley and Michael J. Scheel to its medical staff. Dr. Bansal is a board-certified oncologist; Dr. Benckart, a board-certified thoracic surgeon; Dr. Chess, a board-certified vascular surgeon; Dr. Healy, a board-certified vascular surgeon; Dr. Jalil, a hematologist/oncologist; Dr. Keenan, a board-certified thoracic surgeon; Dr. Maley, a board certified thoracic surgeon; Dr. Muluk, board-certified thoracic surgeon; Dr. Scheel, board-certified orthopedic surgeon.
