Question: Ed, what do you think accounts for Willie Parker's running performance differences between being at home versus on the road?

Michael Hurlock, Chaplin, CT

BOUCHETTE: Parker has 924 yards in seven home games, an average of 132 yards a game. He has 275 yards in six away games, an average of 45.8 yards a game. All five of his 100-yard games have come at home, including both of his 200-yard performances. He ran for 46 yards at Cleveland on Nov. 19 and 223 against the Browns less than three weeks later. I don't think it has anything to do with home vs. away; it's a mystery, along with the Steelers 1-5 record on the road, where they were quite successful in their previous two seasons.
