The Steelers may not have a winning season, but they had to feel better this week with a 20-3 victory than they did after last week's 27-0 loss.
In the first quarter Ben Roethlisberger was sacked once and threw an interception. Then the quarterback rebounded with two touchdown passes -- both to tight ends -- as the Steelers took a 20-0 lead into the final seconds of the game. The Buccaneers kicked a last second field goal to avoid the goose egg, but that didn't seem to dampen spirits on the Steelers sideline.
On the other side of the field, Tampa Bay starter Bruce Gradkowski was experiencing some of the nightmare Roethlisberger had last week at Baltimore. Gradkowski, a Dormont native playing in his first professional game at Heinz Field, was sacked five times and threw three interceptions.
After the game he got a pat on the shoulder pad from Roethlisberger before each went his separate way.
