Film one for the Gipper: Movie tastes come and go, but sports movies never seem to go out of style. To that end, we can look forward to "Win One for the Gipper" in 2007 -- a Roger Corman film examining the life of George Gipp, Notre Dame's first All-American made more famous by Ronald Reagan's portrayal of him in "Knute Rockne: All-American." As he was dying of pneumonia in 1920 at age 25, legend has it that Gipp asked Rockne to have the boys win one for the Gipper someday. They did. And the rest as they say, is history.

But what's that about fact being stranger than fiction? If Corman has his way, the role of the Gipper will be played by Brady Quinn. If the name sounds familiar, it should. Quinn is this year's Irish quarterback and Heisman Trophy candidate.
