AUCTIONS

Kennedy -- Ohio Valley General Hospital Foundation will hold its annual Elegance Dinner and Auction on Saturday at Sheraton Station Square, South Side. A silent auction is at 5:30 p.m., followed by dinner, a live auction, dancing and a gourmet coffee reception. Auction items include get-away weekends, sports items and more. HEALTH

Moon -- St. Margaret Mary Church in Moon and St. Joseph Church in Coraopolis will co-sponsor a health fair from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday in the lower level of Dompka Education Center, Beaver Grade Road. Flu shots will be available at $5 each. Information will provided on area health services.

Crafton -- A flu shot clinic will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 19 at Crafton United Presbyterian Church, 80 Bradford Ave. Medicare and Security Blue will be accepted. Cost for others will be $20. Registration is required by Sunday by calling 412-921-2293.

HOLIDAY HAPPENINGS

LIBRARIES

Moon -- An adult decorative painting class on holiday card boxes will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Moon Township Public Library, 1700 Beaver Grade Road. Cost is $15. At 10:30 a.m. Nov. 18, professional actor Gregory Gibson Kenney will present his one-man tribute to the 1970s Pittsburgh Steelers. Children will receive free mini-footballs. MEETINGS

Monaca -- A free class at 7 p.m. Wednesday will follow the 6 p.m. meeting of Beaver County Genealogical Society in the Mormon Family History Center, 114 Church Drive. Author Gary Link will discuss "The Spectrum, A Novel."

Moon -- Human resource and legal issues that impact business will be discussed at a Pittsburgh Airport Area Chamber of Commerce Taking Care of Business session from 11:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. next Thursday at Moon Golf Club. Costs are $25 for members and $35 for others. To RSVP, call 412-264-6270.

OPEN HOUSE

Carnegie -- Black Swan Gallery will host an open house to unveil its newly renovated building and state-of-the-art equipment for matting and framing from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday at 223 West Main Street.

RELIGION

Moon -- A memorial service for individuals who have experienced the loss of a loved one will be hosted by Odyssey Healthcare at 10 a.m. Saturday in West Hills Christian Church. SALES

East Carnegie -- St. Andrew Lutheran Church, 218 Alter St., will hold its annual Country Christmas Bazaar from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. today and tomorrow. Besides homemade crafts and decorations, holiday goodies and pierogi will be sold.

North Fayette -- A sale of gently used books will be held next week in the community room at Western Allegheny Community Library Building, 8042 Steubenville Pike. Hours will be 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday, and next Thursday; 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 17; and 9 a.m. to noon Nov. 18.

Robinson -- A Christmas Craft Show will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Holy Trinity School, 5718 Steubenville Pike. Lunch will be available.

Scott -- Ss. Simon and Jude School, 1625 Greentree Road, will hold a children's clothing and toy sale from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. tomorrow and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. It features gently worn clothing, books, games and sports equipment.

SOCIAL

Robinson -- Holy Trinity School, 5718 Steubenville Pike will hold its annual turkey bingo at 5 p.m. Sunday. Doors open at 3:30.

Carnegie -- Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church will hold a Nite at the Races on Saturday in the auditorium, 730 Washington Ave. The evening begins with a buffet dinner, including beer, at 5:30 p.m. Races start at 7. Tickets are $10. Those attending must be at least 18.

Coraopolis -- St. Joseph School PTG will sponsor a Night at the Races on Saturday at the school, 1313 Fifth Ave. Doors open at 7 p.m. A $7 admission includes food and beverages.

SPECIAL INTEREST

Rochester -- Beaver County Children and Youth Services will hold training sessions for potential new foster parents from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 18 and Dec. 9 in Rochester Headstart Building, 351 Rhode Island Ave. For information, call 724-891-5800.

TRIPS
