Franklin Regional is averaging 28.3 points per game and allowing only 7.5 per game. The Panthers are led by QB Lenny Gallo (493 yards passing, 367 rushing) and RB Lee Howatneck (974 yards, 13 TDs). Hopewell shared the Parkway Conference title with Blackhawk and earned its quarterfinal berth with a 33-21 win over Trinity. The Vikings are in the playoffs for the seventh time in nine years. The No. 3-seeded Cougars are in the playoffs for the 13th time in 16 years. Blackhawk coach Joe Hamilton has 299 career wins. The Cougars are averaging 29.4 points per game and allowing 12.4 per game. Blackhawk is led by QB Brian Sweeney (94 of 169 for 1,339 yards, 13 TDs) and WR Josh Gumbert (44 catches for 629 yards). Hampton placed fourth in the Greater Allegheny Conference to earn its sixth WPIAL playoff berth in seven years. The Talbots earned their fourth consecutive quarterfinal berth with an incredible 29-28 come-from-behind win over Keystone Oaks. Hampton QB Bob Bartley threw two touchdown passes in the final 1:15. Hampton is averaging 18.0 points per game and allowing 17.9 per game. Talbots RB Steve Paskorz has been lost for the season with a hamstring injury, which puts more pressure on Bartley (94 of 206 for 1,483 yards, 16 TDs). He responded with 371 yards and 4 TDs against Keystone Oaks.
Aliquippa (10-0) vs. Jeannette (9-1)

Jeannette earned its 12th consecutive playoff berth by tying Yough and Greensburg Central Catholic for the Interstate Conference title. Rochester is led by QB Danny Camp (810 yards passing) and RB Derek Moye (716 yards rushing and 12 receptions for 285 yards). Springdale placed third in the Eastern Conference and earned its quarterfinal berth with a 20-7 win over Monessen. The Dynamos, who are making a fifth straight playoff appearance, advanced to the semifinals last year before losing to eventual runner-up Rochester.
