Accounting

Parente Randolph promoted Brian Lenart to principal.

The Catanese Group hired Daniel Notaro as a senior accountant and Danielle Frances as a staff accountant, both in its Pittsburgh office.

Erica Kensinger, Joan Moore, Madeline Schoen and Veniamin Lofenfeld have joined the accounting staff at Louis Plung & Co.

Advertising

Stern Advertising, a wholly owned subsidiary of Omnicom Group Inc., promoted Marsha Gavula in the Pittsburgh office to vice president, group media directors.

Associations & Organizations

Ann Ostergaard is one of four new members to the board of directors of YMCA of the USA. She is a former chair of the YMCA of Greater Pittsburgh and a human resources professional who led her own Pittsburgh-based consulting firm from 1986-2004.

Mark Gordon, founding partner, Pietragallo Bosick & Gordon, was appointed to a three-year term as a hearing committee member serving the Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania.

The state Senate appointed Steven D. Irwin the third member of the Pennsylvania Securities Commission. Mr. Irwin, nominated by Gov. Ed Rendell, is a partner in the law firm of Leech Tishman Fuscaldo & Lampl and sits on the firm's management committee.
