Robert Gimson carried 11 times for 148 yards and two touchdowns and Travis Sivek ran for 97 yards to lead the Tartans (7-0) to a 27-0 victory against the University of Chicago in a University Athletic Association game at Gesling Stadium yesterday.
Gimson scored on runs of 14 and 90 yards and sophomore quarterback Doug Facemeyer, filling in for injured Kevin Mulkern, passed for 149 yards and touchdowns of 2 yards to Colby Whitman and 41 yards to Jeremy Doo.
CMU, which led, 12-0, at halftime and after three quarters, rushed for 272 yards to nearly match its season average. Chicago (2-4) came into the game allowing 80.4 yards rushing per game and hadn't allowed anyone to run for 100 or more yards in a game.

IUP's Chris Morgan rushed for 106 yards and a touchdown and Kevin Weidl completed 11 of 24 passes for 148 yards and a touchdown.
Slippery Rock 35, Lock Haven 0: Nate Crookshank passed for 171 yards and two touchdowns and Travis Sarver rushed for 98 yards and a touchdown as the Rock (5-3, 3-2) defeated the visiting Bald Eagles (1-7, 0-4) in the PSAC West.
Urbana 33, Seton Hill 7: For visiting Seton Hill, Garyn Ehrlich completed 9 of 26 passes for 103 yards and a touchdown.
Wooster 27, Allegheny 21: Shaun Swearingen caught a 43-yard touchdown pass on the last play of the game to snap a 21-21 tie and lift the Scots (6-1, 3-1) past the visiting Gators (4-3, 2-2) in the North Coast Athletic Conference. Allegheny quarterback Jimmy Savage passed for 224 yards and a touchdown.
Geneva 36, Taylor 6: Justin Sciarro passed for 251 yards and two touchdowns to pace the host Golden Tornadoes (3-3).
Edinboro 13, Clarion 0: Houston Brown rushed for 157 yards and a touchdown to lead the Fighting Scots (4-4, 1-2) past the visiting Golden Eagles (1-7, 0-3).
