Concerts

Greensburg -- The Westmoreland Symphony Orchestra will celebrate opening night with Leonard Bernstein's "Candide Overture"; Mahler's Symphony No. 1 in D, known as "Titan": and Castelnuevo-Tedesco's "Guitar Concerto No. 1." Fund-raising

North Versailles -- The Haunted Hills Hayride, off Route 48, takes place from 7 to 11 p.m. every Friday and Saturday in October and 7 to 10 p.m. every Sunday and nightly from Oct. 25 through 30. The cost is $10, and proceeds benefit the Autism Society of Pittsburgh and the Spectrum Charter School. Call 412-824-1214.

Avonmore -- The Avonmore LifeSavers Ambulance Service will hold a spaghetti dinner from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday at the Avonmore Civic Center, Westmoreland Avenue. The cost is $6, $3 for children younger than 6. Takeout is available. Call 724-697-4046.

Plum -- Boy Scout Troop 877 will hold a spaghetti dinner from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday in the Fellowship Hall of the Presbyterian Church of Plum Creek, 550 Center New Texas Road. Youngstown, Pa. -- Sacred Heart School, 421 Main St., will hold a raffle for tickets to the Steelers' Nov. 12 contest against the New Orleans Saints.
