A Homewood man was shot and killed early today as he slept with his head on the bar at a local tavern.

Jonathan Bundy, 31, had been sleeping during a birthday celebration for someone else when he was shot several times at 12:53 a.m., police said.

One of the bullets struck him in the head.

The party had been going on at Denise & Earl's Lounge in the 7700 block of Frankstown Avenue.

Mr. Bundy was pronounced dead at the scene at 1:02 a.m., the Allegheny County medical examiner reported.

No arrests have been made.
