There will be a free bicycle rodeo from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday in the St. Lawrence O'Toole Catholic Church parking lot at 5323 Penn Ave., Garfield, just behind the UPMC St. Margaret Bloomfield/Garfield Health Center. Kids of all ages are welcome. There will be free helmet and bike safety checks. There will be an obstacle course for riders. A raffle will be held for a 20-inch boy's bike, and a 20-inch girl's bike. A memorial service for those who received hospice care from Excela Health Care and Hospice over the past year will be held 2 to 4 p.m. Oct. 1 at Charter Oak United Methodist Church, Frye Farm Road, Unity. It was previously scheduled for Latrobe United Methodist Church. Families of the deceased are invited to share in this service; a time of fellowship will follow.
