Ahsaolu, from Toronto, has two years of eligibility left. He is a cousin of former NBA star Hakeem Olajuwon of the Houston Rockets.

The native of San Andres, Colombia, was a junior college All-American at Miami Dade College in Florida. He averaged nearly 19 points and 10 rebounds a game and was his conference's player of the year last season. "I don't think any one player can give a school instant credibility, but, if any player has a chance to do that, it's Baldonado,'' Everhart said at the time.

Last year, he was the Colonial Athletic Association Defensive Player of the Year after leading the nation in shots blocked at 6.53 per game. His 196 blocked shots were more than most Division I teams recorded last year.

Mensah was a third-team All-Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference guard last season. He is a walk-on player, ineligible for a scholarship until the 2007-2008 season. He also has two seasons of eligibility remaining.

As a point guard last year, the 6-3 freshman averaged 6.8 points per game and was honored as the Atlantic 10 Conference rookie of the week in January. The Hartford, Conn., native also was second on the team in assists, with 3.6 per game.
He started 21 of the Dukes' 27 games.
