Homestead -- Steel Valley Arts Council sponsors Early Sketches by George Nama through Sept. 28 at artspace303, 303 E. FESTIVALS

Brentwood-- The Brentwood Spartan Marching Band will present its 24th annual band festival at 7 p.m. Saturday at Brentwood Stadium, Park Drive. Baldwin, Bishop Canevin, Brentwood, Carrick, Central Catholic, Steel Valley, Taylor Alderdice, Thomas Jefferson, Upper St. Clair and West Mifflin Area high schools will perform. FUND-RAISERS

Brentwood -- St. Sylvester's High School Youth Ministry will sponsor a Wash for Life car wash as part of a national anti-abortion event from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday in the St. Sylvester Church parking lot, 3754 Brownsville Road.
