Bob O'Connor served Pittsburgh with decades of public service, capped by eight brief months as mayor. His family shared Mr. O'Connor with the public one more time today.

The farewell began with a horse-drawn hearse carrying the mayor's body to St. Paul Cathedral in Oakland, where his widow Judy delivered an unscheduled eulogy. The day concluded with a motorcade through city neighborhoods to Calvary Cemetery, where the family asked for -- and received -- privacy for a final graveside service.
