Pitt, CMU make top 25 as good neighbors

The University of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Mellon University ranked among America's 25 "best-neighbor" urban colleges and universities, according a new listing.

Evan Dobelle, president of the New England Board of Higher Education, chose campuses that have benefited their communities' quality of life through careful strategic planning and thoughtful use of resources and other efforts.

Pittsburgh was the only city on the list twice -- Carnegie Mellon placing 16th and Pitt 18th.
