A special Mass to pray for the health and recovery of Mayor Bob O'Connor will be celebrated tomorrow at 7 p.m. in his home parish of St. Rosalia in Greenfield. The celebrant will be Mr. O'Connor's pastor, the Rev. Joseph Reschick.

The mayor is undergoing treatment for a rare form of brain cancer. Last week the Catholic Diocese of Pittsburgh asked all of its parishes to include prayers for Mr. O'Connor in their Masses.

Hope Chapel, a West End congregation, will hold an hour-long public prayer service for the mayor beginning at 11 a.m. today at the portico of the City-County Building on Grant Street.
