SCHOOL: Mt. Lebanon

POS: TE/DL

HT: 6-6

WT: 260 THE SKINNY: Devlin plays tight end now, but there is talk he might move to tackle in college. He caught 10 passes for 86 yards last year. He is also a standout basketball player for the defending WPIAL champion Blue Devils' basketball squad. He averaged 15.1 points per game last year.

COLLEGE TALK: Committed to Virginia. Had 32 offers and pared his list to Pitt, Michigan and Boston College before settling on Virginia.

FAVORITE FOOD: "A rack of ribs. Well, actually, a few of them. I'm a big eater."

WHAT IS THE MOST HECTIC PART OF RECRUITING? "It was in May, when the coaches came through the school. There were times when I'd miss two periods in a row. It was cool at first, then it got to be too much. You start off thinking the process is so much fun, then it starts to wear on you."

WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE TOY GROWING UP? "Any ball. When I was little, from 8 a.m. until dinner I was outside playing something. Basketball, football, baseball, hockey, whatever, we played everything. If there was a sport, I played it in the neighborhood."

PERSON YOU WOULD MOST LIKE TO MEET? "I always wanted to meet Pope John Paul II."

PEOPLE MIGHT BE SURPRISED TO KNOW THAT ... : "I'm a pretty good student and, also, I was an altar boy at Our Lady of Grace Church. Not anymore though, I kind of grew out of the robes."
