Engineering

Michael Baker Jr. Inc., an engineering unit of Michael Baker Corp., promoted George Perinis to senior vice president and national aviation practice director.

Herbert, Rowland & Grubic, Inc. is expanding its Land Development Service Group with the hiring of Brian E. Rushe as a project manager in its Pittsburgh office.

KMA Design promoted William D. Kosick and Jason Engbarth, as senior associates and Stefan Selvoski, associate.

Margaret Prine Joy, partner, McCarthy McDonald Schulberg & Joy, was named chair of the board of the Magee-Womens Research Institute and Foundation. She also has been named to the board of directors of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and its executive committee.

Meyer, Unkovic & Scott LLP announced that Jun H. Yu joined as a partner in the Business and Corporate Law Group. Mr. Yu focuses his practice on corporate and commercial transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, securities and corporate financing.

Cohen & Grigsby, P.C. said Paul De Rosa has joined as a director in the business group. He focuses on a wide range of corporate transactions, including venture capital, mergers and acquisitions, public and private offerings of securities, securities law compliance and general corporate matters.

Variety the Children's Charity of Pittsburgh announces the appointment of Keith E. Loiselle, Robert P. Oeler and Daniel J. Skrovanek to its board of directors. Mr. Loiselle is president, CEO and director of CDL Medical Tech, Inc. and CDL Nuclear Technologies, Inc. Mr. Oeler is executive vice president of Dollar Bank. Mr. Skrovanek is vice president and general manager of the Thermoplastic Polyurethane Business Unit of Bayer MaterialScience LLC.

The Foundation for Fiduciary Studies hired Bennett Aiken as publications and training materials editor; Ryan Lynch, training programs coordinator; and Sarah Borchart, designation coordinator.

Venture Outdoors, Inc. announced that Erik Lingren was named executive director.

Suzanne McLaren, collection manager in the section of mammals at Carnegie Museum of Natural History, was named president-elect of the American Society of Mammalogists.

The Achieva board of trustees elected G. Michael Tiani chairman of the board. He will serve a two-year term. Mr. Tiani is owner of Terra Testing Inc.
